HHCC 4TH XI vs Sheen Park

In a break from League action saw the Hill 4s travel to Palewell Common to oppose Sheen Park 3s.

With appaling traffic getting to the venue, Skipper Mallet left the toss to Nigel with clear instructions to bowl.

Out went Deepak and Aditi Sahoo to open up.

Nigel then started to pick up, winning plink of the day for a back foot punch through the covers, as Louis also came in and battered his first ball to the boundary.

However reader, this would not be a Hill match without a collapse now would it?
Louis top edged one after a well made 22 bringing Mallet on.

Jerry Fallows alongside (banned from umpiring) Beadle didn't last long as Jerry fell trying to increase the run rate.

It was time for our pre-bought tea and a rant from Tommy mainly aimed at why the U17s failed to chase 81 the previous night.

Zeeshan was to collect another wicket in this over with the batsman feathering behind to claim Max an impeccable grab.

Not willing to hang around, the Sheen Park number 4 scored a couple of boundaries from the next over.

Tommy, at the other end absolutely speechless continued to steam in, bowl well and get nowhere.

On came first Change All-rounder AO, bowling for his first Saturday this season, and Dan B.

The honour of the last wicket fell to Aditi, who had the number 11 hit one up in the air, to a shuffling safe hands Mallet to skittle Sheen Park for 64 and claim the win.

The effort in the field was exceptional, with the energy 10 times better.

1st XI match report vs Sanderstead

Match Report: Hampton Hill vs.

Pre-Match Context

Hampton Hill, looking to bounce back after a tough collapse the previous week against Ashford, where they were all out for 69, faced Sanderstead Cricket Club at the Old Saw Mill.

The team had several changes: Joe Porter, Ryan McCartney, Daniel Mackinney, Jack Fullicks, and Robert Fullicks came in, while Robbie Coates, Harry Coates, Paul Hennessey, Jack Baverstock, and James Robottom were out.

Toss and Innings Overview
For the first time this season, Captain Boulton lost the toss, and Hampton Hill was put in to bat first.

Batting Performance
Young Daniel Mackinney fell early to Sanderstead’s strike bowler Sandeep, who already had 3 five-wicket hauls this season.

Joe Porter and Captain Boulton steadied the innings, focusing on using the overs effectively and rotating the strike.

Jake Woods played a responsible yet positive innings, finishing unbeaten on 37 from nearly a run a ball, helping Hampton Hill to post a total of 189-9 in their full 55 overs.

Bowling Performance
Captain Boulton led from the front with the ball, dismantling the Sanderstead top order by taking the first five wickets.

Middle and Lower Order Resistance
Sanderstead’s number 7, John Devaney, counter-attacked effectively, keeping Sanderstead in the hunt.

Remarkable Last-Wicket Partnership
In a dramatic turn of events, reminiscent of the Ben Stokes and Jack Leach partnership at Headingley, John Devaney and the number 11 batsman put together a defiant last-wicket stand.

Post-Match Reflection
Hampton Hill, though wounded, showed great sportsmanship, congratulating Sanderstead on their incredible comeback.

Special Mention
A special mention goes out to @⁨~James NS⁩, who is getting married next week.

5th XI Match report vs Long Ditton

A mammoth huge win for the 5s against top of the league Long Ditton!

After being put into the field, Skipper Howard opened with Zeeshan and Felix.

First Change bowlers came in, soon to be star of the show Jamie Hillier (The Mayor) and Tommy Rance.

Following on from this, The Mayor continued to bowl excellent stuff, with another wicket falling from a catch directly at Felix, who took it with authority.

All this time, Long Ditton's number 3 had been hitting away, punishing the bad balls and looking to score off the good.

Howard and Theo (Super T) followed, Theo bowling an set line and length consistently troubled the batsmen despite getting no wickets himself, and Howard having his first bowl of the season, easing into it and getting some lovely spin onto the ball towards the end of his spell of 0-16 off 3 overs.

On came the final change of Ben Blackshire and Gavin McCartney (The Gavelar) to try and take the final wicket, of a fine bowling and fielding performance from the Hill.

The team fielded excellently keeping their concentration levels up even if the final wicket didn't quite fall our way, causing an extra 30-50 runs to chase.

After some excellent "Scran" for tea, the Hill began their pursuit of 198 to win, always a tough ask.

The pair put on a crucial 47 for the opening stand, with Ben Donald falling after trying to play the ball over Mid-off and being caught.

At the halfway stage, we were behind the run rate, but with 9 wickets in hand.

Up stepped Ben Blackshire at 4, to maintain the incredibly useful LH, RH combination, meaning the bowlers were never able to build up a head of steam against the pairings, an incredible piece of captaincy by Howard.

Ben Blackshire, after completing his quest to field with anything but his hands for the U17s the previous night, was ticking away at a run a ball, with a couple of fantastic boundaries behind square, and excellent running, pushing every single and putting pressure back onto the fielders, despite his dislike of touching the bat down, and preferring to side-step into the crease in the most casual manner possible (something that Bobby F most certainly disapproves).

Having reached 46, PDW fell to one of Long Dittons astronomically straight bowlers, who took the stumps leaving the Hill 169-3 off 40.

In an interesting move by the opposition skipper, Long Ditton brought on their young spinner for a 2nd spell.

Ben, who had been working away at the total, was on strike (with an old head on young shoulders) for the most crucial passage of play in the match.

Put into context, Ben on 31 at the time, having hit his first 2 mixers ever during the season was the key batsmen.

Long Ditton brought on, the 1st change quick decent Bowler for the final over of the match (who also happened to be the guy who bullied his way to an exceptional 73) in a desperate attempt to win the tie.

What an incredible performance, the best for the 5s this season and undoubtedly one of the best whole club performances of the season.

Given the Hills batting struggles across the year, The 5s batted calmly, and maturely finishing on 200 runs for the chase, which was a ridiculous achievement, which left Long Ditton stunned, having been used to rolling teams and deservedly taking their place at the summit of the division.

It was a game played in good spirits.

Thanks also to Neal Blackshire for scoring throughout the game, both on Play-Cricket, and on a difficult scoreboard controller, which proved a burden on more occasions than one!

HHCC 1st XI vs Chertsey

HHCC Match Report - Away Vs Chertsey CC 1/06/2024

The Hill arrived at recently relegated Chertsey CC with a spring in their step following the resounding success of Bennett-ball against local rivals Kempton 7 days prior.

Overcast skies and rainfall during the week meant that conditions appeared to be extremely bowler-friendly.

A wicketless opening spell from Boulton and Robottom, a dropped catch, and an 89 run opening partnership later, may rightly lead some to question the Captain’s decision to field first.

The second wicket wouldn’t fall until 10 overs later - Rob “Diglet” Fullicks finally finding the breakthrough.

A simply thunderous spell from the experienced Merchant served as a timely reminder of what the man is capable of.

In complete contrast to the Chertsey innings, Hampton Hill found themselves 13-2.

A rebuild led by the man-in-form James Newton-Savage, allowed the Hill to partially recover to 50-2.

A steady succession of wickets slowly diminished any hopes of victory.

Next up is London Gymkhana at home, where the Hill look to bounce back to winning ways in front of a raucous crowd.

James Boulton

HHCC 1st XI vs Kempton

WK3: Hampton Hill vs.

Form Guide
Hampton Hill: L W
Kempton: L L

Hampton Hill 1s
Richard Bennett*
Robbie Coates
James Newton-Savage
Samuel Fullicks
Massimo Campanale (in for Pope)
Jake Wood
Paul Hennessy
Jack Baverstock +
Robert Fullicks (in for Boulton)
Harry Coates
David Merchant (in for Mackinney)

Keep it Classy!

Week 3 brings Hampton Hill’s bogey team, the loud and competitive Kempton Tigers.

Pre-Match Team News, Weather, Pitch Analysis, and the Toss

The weather was perfect for cricket – clear skies, a gentle breeze, and bright sunshine.

Massimo immediately made an impact by adding a new feature to Hampton's warm-up, demonstrating unbelievable control with a sidearm, offering up a challenging and intense warm-up.

Pitch analysis was conducted by Captain of the day Benoit and Harry Coates, who assumed the character of Alan Titchmarsh this week.

First Innings: What Was a Good Score?

Following a good warm-up, a toss win, and a team accustomed to new-ball bowlers like Boulton, Mackinney, and Rowbottom, the team may have anticipated a slightly different experience with a new-look attack.

Momentum soon shifted with Merchant and Hennessy settling into a nice rhythm, making use of favorable conditions and an electric energy from a very good fielding team on the day.

Kempton's main threat and captain for the day, Gaikwad at 24*, kept Hampton on their toes, bringing the dangerous presence he always does.

Kempton found themselves at 95-8, with the resilient former captain Joel Miah and Deen Yousaf at the crease.

Hennessy – 3-40
Merchant – 3-38
R.
H.
5 catches taken.
144 by no means an easy chase at the Hill against a fired-up Kempton Bowling attack.

Second Innings: The Gritty Chase

Following a clinical 10-wicket win last week chasing 74 without loss, Captain Bennett and R.

R.

Massimo and SFu continued looking to punish any loose balls, but Kempton were not going to give up, with both being dismissed, leaving Hampton at 123-5 and Kempton’s tails wagging.
With the hard work done and Hampton fans jubilant for the final blow, the iconic moment of the day occurred when the umpire reminded Hampton's best to “Keep it classy.
Newton-Savage – 38
S.
Woods – 24*
Bennett – 18

Hampton finishes Week 3 in 3rd place and faces an away trip to Chertsey next week, looking to continue their good momentum.

HHCC 1st XI vs Woking & Horsell CC Match Report

Hampton Hill welcomed Woking & Horsell to fortress Hill as the second game of the league season.

The teams were presented with humid and overcast conditions, with 2 changes from the defeat at Purley as the stalwart James Robottom was attending a (non-energy) event which presented a debut for promising young Archie Pope (no relation to the “Clapham Cliques” person friend Ollie).
In the other change Dave Merchant’s extensive social life meant Adam Mackinney returned, overcoming another ankle related injury scare to take his place in the XI.

Captain Boulton won the toss and elected to bowl with a dark rouge red ball which resembled a test match dukes special.

The Ollie Robinson / Bumrah hyrbid James Boulton and Adam Mac opened up the bowling for the home side.

However Adam Mac - the overseas slayer - lived up to his reputation with a superb delivery that started with a bit of width, which was greeting with a respectful but ill judged leave by a player who had returned a shade under 600 runs in the previous season.

There are many adjectives one could use to describe James Boulton.

The pressure applied, the visitors struggled and offered up 3 run outs in a chaotic period.

Harry Coates continued his impressive early season form with the ball, reminiscent of days around NG1, proving why he’s one of the clubs most coveted assets.

In response Robbie “Suds McDuff” Coates and Richard “Benoit” strode out to bat knowing full well that stranger things have happened in cricket than underestimating a low scoring chase.

However there was no complacency from the two as Robbie continued his superb form, playing beautifully square of the wicket on both the on and off side as well as exploiting the vacant gap in the 3rd man region in what proved to be another authoritative innings.

At the other end Richard absorbed the pressure from the opening bowlers as he sort to take any remaining sting out of the game and extinguish any hopes of a late rally from the visitors.

There was speculation on the sidelines about whether Richard would get into double figures before the target was reached.

The Hill completed an Impressive victory by 10 wickets to see a first league victory under the new regime and a first home win in the league since 27 May 2023.

The Hill welcome Kempton next week looking to follow up two strong early season performances.

HHCC 1st XI vs Purley Match Report

Another year, another season but things have changed a little for the HHCC.

First up Purley who also had a new skipper this year - the Surrey league rejoices.

The Spiceman won the toss and the new look partnership of the world’s nicest man (Bennett) and the BBQ king (Robbie Coates) strode out.

Robbie Coates was bowled, swiftly followed by partner Bennet and youngest cousin Tom Coates leaving the Hill at 26-3 after 14 overs.

Jake “Snakey” Wood came to the crease and walked back quickly.

In seasons gone past the Hill might have shutdown and found themselves 150 all out.

After a tea that left many questioning why they played cricket anymore, the Spiceman took the new ball.

The Spiceman and JNS then combined again to remove Basit, who was turned inside out by a swinging delivery.

Cruickshank settled in to his work from that point and although JNS (10-46-3) and the Spiceman (8.

Special mention must go out to TC whose sharpe work and direct hit removed one of the Purley batsman.

In the end Cruickshank proved the difference as Purley chased the 180, 7 down in the 39th over.

Positives for the Hill but work to do heading into the season.

HHCC 2nd XI vs Thames Ditton

Anderson and Broad, Dravid and Tendulkar, Warne and McGrath; some cricketing partnerships just make sense, are written in the stars and honed on the turf, whereas others come out of nowhere to form a cricketing version of fusion food.
The first course was served courtesy of the Tony & Guy styled Richard Bennet, as the old school opener played another innings full of stoic defence and classical drives, befitting of an approach honed on the squares of Sunbury, Teddington and Hampton School.
It was in the field though that Hill’s mixed cuisine really did damage to the Ditton digestive systems; bowling fittingly from the KFC end and fresh from a few lusty strikes with the bat, it was the diminutive Hennessy that was soon dishing up a Saturday special, although a first over that went for 12 may have given some of the visitors a false hope of tucking in.
Returning to the club that got it all going for Hennessy has not been all Sangria and sunshine but having produced an almost instant response to the initial Ditton onslaught, he soon set to work getting the ball to nip off the surface and making the leg stump his own.
With Coates allowing Exworth and Porter to at least contribute something to the game with catches off his bowling, Hennessy’s delicious return of 8/27 left Ditton nursing a Hill inflicted stomach-ache, all out for just 60 inside 18 overs.
Bennett & Hennessy; a somewhat unlikely pairing perhaps, but one those Ditton diners won’t forget in a hurry.

After overnight rain and a hearty breakfast at Giovani’s, the 2s arrived at the Hill to take on South London’s finest Addiscombe.

With the wind picking up (and not just due to Will Owens 2am kebab), Tom (The Giraffe) Coates lost the toss and the Hill were having a bat.
Despite the early loss of Will Owens, after playing the 3rd best straight drive of the day, Richard Bennett joined the out-of-form JC, taking the score to 48 before JC offered up a simple caught and bowled.
Massimo Campanale arrived, fresh from a flight after a 5 month spell travelling the world with his newly matched hinge date and he and Benoit batted beautifully taking the score to 122, while also unleashing the 2nd best (RB) and best straight drives of the day (MC).
After losing Mass and the trebuchet Adam Oliver who ran past the Spurs spinner, former skipper and future UN Peacekeeper Joe Porter entered the field before a controversial dismissal involving a no balled catch and a run out, saw him return to the safety of the home dressing room.
After a good tea, involving the traditional Hill favourites of Chicken nuggets, Hill entered the field aiming to use the overhead conditions and excessive wind to their advantage.
With wickets falling, skipper TC got the team together, after demonstrating that a future career as a ‘camp’ motivation coach is there for the taking.

Hampton Hill 2nd XI vs Egham

Young guns having some fun!
At the risk of boring you (I will) this fixture took me back.
The Hill arrived at Egham after negotiating slip road mayhem with a youthful side (author excepted) packed with potential.
Hampton Hill won the toss and impressive on the day captain Michael Virile Kohli’ Murton chose to bowl.
All in all we were happy.
What would you say if I said cheese on toast, scones, spring rolls, sausage sandwiches, lemon cake etc etc etc.
Cinders and Oisin opened up and did a good job of blunting their crystal tip led attack.
Three notable batting points.
This left the iceman Barrett to face their rapid but on this occasion wayward fast bowler and negotiate the final over 8 down.
Lastly, we need to get a filmy frog box sort of thing.

June 17: Hampton Hill 2 nd XI vs Stoke D’Abernon 2nd XI

The season was 6 weeks old, and belief was growing within a strong Hampton Hill CC 2 nd XI.

The early indications all pointed towards a bowl-first day.
least to the untrained eye) – and the Bob Willis pavilion gave historical precedence to the impression that this would be a good day for the seamers.

Alas – not so.
the outfield was lightning quick.
D’Abernon’s openers didn’t allow us the quick start we had hoped for, With Justin Jones (49 (57))
playing some frustrating slash-y drives before departing, alongside other useful contributions from his top-order cronies.
usual, however special mention is made for Mike Murton who looked visibly more penetrating than
the prior two weeks, providing a solid base for continued improvement.

If the first passage of play was theirs, the second 17 was definitely ours, as the skipper turned to
pace-off for control – handing the ball to Joe Ayley (14 overs 2-53) who provided moments of
greatness intersected with a few too many full-bungers.
electric.

Despite a fight-back from the Hill, we struggled late, with a flurry of middle order hitting from Tom
‘better put in 4 cow corners for me’ Bullock getting Stoke D’s up to a respectable total – ably assisted by some shocking fielding from yours truly.

Over an, it must be said, excellent Tea the Hill regrouped.
declaring their total ‘too few for us’ and encouraging the batsmen to go out, chase the total, and
show these rural pretenders how we play inside of the oyster zone (I may be paraphrasing).

And Just bat we did.
batting paradise and the runs flowed for both batsmen.
Owens – now armed with a wide-brim playing an unrecognisable role of aggressor in the partnership displayed unusual fluency, and less unusual fitness issues on his way to a match-high of 81(84),
leaving Aj on 38* following a partnership of over 120.

The skipper entered the scene, and unfurled a flurry of aggressive strokes – eventually departing for 41 (33) including two fine sixes (and two lost balls).
indeed to remark upon the open faced angle of Aj’s bat with wonderment).
(Fullicks, Murton, Barratt, Everett, Ayley) spared the effort – and in Rob’s case presumably spared
the cost of additional physiotherapy / marriage counselling.

The Job was done.
the celebrations ensued.

Man of the match: Will Owens – who’s 81 set the tone for the chase (although this reporter thinks
Ajmal Bhatti has been robbed)

DOD: Will Owens – for a series of infractions including a dropped catch, simulating
downing a pint with his bat after passing 50, and for declaring a pitch which yielded nearly 500 runs
and 9 wickets as a ‘seamer’s paradise’ upon arrival

3rd XI beat Camberley by 2 wickets

It was the first real warm week of the season.

The visitors got off to a fast start before Tas put a quick end to that with a bail trimmer top of off.
Camberley came out looking to play shots from ball one which meant they were always in the game.
Dropped catches held the Hill back from having to chase a much lower score.
The Hill were chasing 160, it got off to the worst possible start when Oisin and Aj were both out for single figure scores.
AO and Chris Webb steadied the ship in a 54-run partnership.
Taz in vintage style looked to attack.
HHCC 2nd XI vs Thames Ditton match report

This weekend the 2nd XI headed to Port’s Favourite Ground, Thames Ditton.
With the sun shining the boys elected to field due to a superb bowling and fielding performance the week before.
In an innovative move from the skipper, Mr Porter was called upon for the first time this year and his first delivery dismissed their number 2’s off stump.
With MoM IanE also being called upon at the other end, the scoreboard seemed to have stopped as the OAP’s combined 20 overs grabbed 2 wickets for the Hill and gave away just 40 runs, with figures of 1-12 for Ian, and 1-28 for Ports, but there was still plenty of time left in the innings.
TD decided to attack the remaining overs and with some fielding errors and mistakes of varying levels, ended posting 217 for the Hill to chase.
There’s really not much to say about the batting as no one seemed to be able to get going and the constant left arm bowlers were a struggle to get away.

HHCC 2nd XI vs Old Pauline

Man of the Match: Jack Fullicks (5 overs, 7 runs, 1 wicket & 52*)

Mug of the Day: Daniel Mackinney - Feeling “unwell” outside of Sainsbury's hours before start.

Result: Hampton Hill win by 6 wickets

Hampton Hill came into Saturday’s game with a lot of positivity following their final over run chase the week before and the return of their leader Tom Coates.

1st change bowlers Ryan and Kash brought some variation to keep the batsmen guessing, Ryan picked up one wicket from his 6 overs.

First home tea of the season - 7/10.

With the bat, things didn’t get off to the greatest start with JC snicking off 2nd ball, followed by Sam Rogers a few overs later.

Next up is Thames Ditton who have also won back to back.

Hampton Hill 2nd XI beat Merstham by 7 wickets

Hill’s second XI once again saw some squad rotation with their culturally active skipper Porter splitting his day between the side-lines and a music recital, so the reigns were again handed to self-effacing Tom ‘Better than Bairstow’ Coates.

Bowling first Hill made immediate inroads thanks to sustained opening spells from Jack Fullicks (4/46) and Mike Murton (2/30).

In reply Hill showed no signs of being affected by nugget-gate and having lost General #1 Cadogan early on, when the pace was a little too hot for the short-legged ginger opener, they then made things look easy.

So, the season hits halfway with the 2s well positioned to push on thanks to a squad that is growing in size and quality and starting to really find its feet at this level if it can keep the run going through the holiday period and as long as Tom doesn’t get called up to the Test squad of course….

Hampton Hill CC 2nd XI defeated Addiscombe by 7 wickets

The Hill turned up in good (some slightly hungover) spirits after two timed wins in a row.

Despite a slow start pre-match that could not be said about our performance on the pitch.

2nd XI match reports from 14/5 and 21/5

Hampton Hill lost by 43 runs to Trinity Mid-Whitgiftian CC 14th May

With skipper Porter and vice captain JC away this weekend, Tom Coates was handed the
opportunity to lead the mighty 2’s.
in skipper had decided that his side was going to have a bowl.
both openers (Murton and TC) taking a wicket each in their opening spell.
the oppo back into the game after dropping a few catches taking them from 30-2 to 123-3, with
the break through coming from Harry Coates.
tight bowling of veterans Jimmy Everett and Ian Exworth.
opposition picked up by the run rate and a high score threatened, but a tactical masterclass by
TC to bring opener murton back on worked fantastically as he took a wicket in his first over
back.
and turn and burn from Harry Coates.
taking 3, Fallows and Murton 2 each and 1 for T Coates.
on his debut in the 2’s taking 2 good catches and only conceding 1 bye.
The 2’s had mixed feelings on the tea provided but general consensus was summed up by
Robbie Coates, “good substance but not enough depth”.
portions were rather on the small side.

Harry Coates walked out to the middle with a new partner this week in Adam Oliver, they both
got off to a good start.
Adam followed shortly after, where he seemingly forgot that there was a packed cordon as he
guided a ball directly into second slips hands.
to be showing his sunday form on a saturday which is always a delight to see.
luck ran out when he too got a ball that also kept on the low side.
confidence, patiently working the singles and finding the gaps, then when the bad ball came
putting them across the ropes.
at the other end.
on its way.
the cards, as Coates ran back to the danger end a canon was unleashed from long off that flow
over Coates and Gomez to the keeper in time to remove the bails before Gomez had crossed
the line.
worse as Chris Webb came to the crease and unfortunately dragged his first ball onto the
stumps.
not to last as the veteran fell for 13.
wrong type of leave which allowed the ball to clatter into his off stump.
the pitch after a fallows smashed a ball straight back at the bowler who was able to quickly
remove the bails at the non strikers end, Coates gone for 40.
chase with a big maximum but both him and everett fell to leave Lewis stranded and the Hill 44
runs short.

Not the result the 2’s were looking for but a good wake up call for them, this season will not be
like last, they will have to work hard for their victories.

Player of the match goes to Lewis Cole, a fantastic debut where he showed his class with the
gloves and was constantly vocal in support of the bowlers.

**** of the Day also goes to Lewis Cole as he decided just as everett was coming in to bowl
was the right time to answer the question Fallows had asked him 20 seconds prior.

Nominations for DotD: Gomez for missing the first over.
TC: BBQing Gomez.
Fallows: Steaming in from long on for a catch and the ball subsequently going for a 4 over his
head.

Hampton Hill beat Kingstonian by 6 wickets 21st May

Hampton Hill play Kingstonian approximately 30 times each season so there are many old
scores to settle, in fact this was already the 3rd meeting between the two clubs this season!

The aggregate score pre match was Hampton Hill 272-15 vs Kingstonian 357-18, with one
win each… so all to play for.

Kingstonian came into the match in buoyant mood, they were top of the league with two wins
from two and this shone through there charismatic skipper.
leader mocked the length of the Hill’s square boundary by stating to Ports that he could
easily clear the club house.
bat first.
as the Hill quickly got into their work.
clearing the pavilion could only edge Murton to Harry Coates at slip.
mainly because most of the team had backed HC as their fantasy captain!
Murts, but he did make himself cost £13million.
his downfall to two losses in concentration.
denied him a run on the scoreboard, but also as he was director of a hopefully high class
YouTube video.
Surrey wide this season!

Wickets continued to fall at regular intervals with both Murts and Evs bowling their full 10
straight up.
brothers, TC just bowling 2 overs before asking to take himself off as a selfless act in order
to get Joe Ayley into the attack, even more of a strange decision as TC had captained
himself in fantasy!
spinner taking 3 wickets and the world’s most zen taking 1.
(the most noble of all dismissals).
fielding performance from the Hill, especially given the 6 drops the week before.

In reply the Hill had to navigate 10 overs before the nugs and pizza were ready and did so
with calm ease.
enjoyed (although not the malteser cake bar which was deemed “too sweet”) the Hill’s
openers carried on their steady way.
changing room and quietened the oppo.
show, Duffle, he and AO continued blocking and boring Kingstonian up until 72-1 when AO
departed playing the pull shot.
he should return to his trusty late dab through 3rd slip.
club’s form batsmen Nigel Harman had a rare off day falling for a duck and Mitch also just
lasted 2 balls leaving the Hill wobbling on 79-4.
uneventful and no one can be blamed for his demise.
should he have competed in a triathlon on the morning of a match?
quicker if he didn’t have a few hours of intensive exercise in his legs?
thinks so, priorities Mitch, priorities.
before nocking a single, making sure that R.
legendary loud and precise calling.

The Hill won 4 down with 15 overs to spare.
stop Egham away!
a chance to sample the best tea in Surrey!
